by jagat Thapa
- Ensure that the water supply to the tank is turned off - Drain all the water from the tank. If it’s a large water tank, use pumps or gravity-based drainage. For smaller tanks, you may use buckets or siphons to remove the water. - After draining the water, manually remove any visible debris, dirt, or sludge that may have settled at the bottom of the tank. - Using a long-handled brush or scrapers, gently scrub the interior surfaces - Depending on the tank’s condition and the level of contamination, apply a cleaning solution - Using brushes or scrubbing pads, scrub all the tank's interior surfaces. Start from the top and work your way down to the bottom. Pay attention to the corners, seams, and edges where residue may accumulate. - Once the tank is clean, sanitize it to eliminate any remaining bacteria or pathogens. - Allow the tank to air dry completely - Inspect the tank for any structural damage, cracks, or leaks. Ensure that the inlet and outlet pipes are clean and functioning well. - Once everything is clean and inspected, refill the tank with fresh, potable water. If necessary, check the water for clarity and odor to confirm that it is free from contaminants.
